I Have To Agree That Tithing Is Old Testament – Evang Mike Bamiloye Shares Reason

While expatiating his view, he said, "Probably they would have to abide by the New Testament Pattern which is even upward to 100% of your Earnings. Peter left all the Fishes at Jesus' Command."

President of the Mount Zion Ministries, Evangelist Mike Bamiloye has dropped a message on the topic of tithe.

He said that he may have to agree with the school of thought that the ten per cent tithe system is an Old Testament pattern.

According to the drama minister, since the ten per cent tithe belonged to the Old Testament Era, it would be better to stick to the one hundred per cent tithing pattern.

While expatiating his view, he said, “Probably they would have to abide by the New Testament Pattern which is even upward to 100% of your Earnings. Peter left all the Fishes at Jesus’ Command.”

Giving another example of a hundred per cent tithe payment in the bible, Bamiloye said, ”The Woman spent almost a Whole Year Salary to buy Alabaster Box of Perfume to Honor Jesus Christ with it. The Disciples in the Early Church sold their lands and laid All the proceeds at Apostles’ feet.”

He continued by saying that even ministers in times like this have sacrificed greatly for the sake of ministry.

In his words, he said ”I have seen Men of God selling their Car to finance a Crusade. I have heard of Men of God using their Houses as Collateral to get loans to do projects for the Lord.”

While explaining the basis for paying tithes and offering, Bamiloye said “Your TITHES and OFFERINGS hang on this UNBREAKABLE Biblical Principle.”

He closes his teaching with a quote from the New King James Version of 2 Corinthians 9:6 which says that “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”

“When the Lord is the Lord over your entire life, 10% Tithe becomes too small to give the Lord. He becomes the Master over Your life and All That you have. Selar!” he said.
